Tony Jouanneau have partnered with Harumi Sugiura to create the first series of textile objects celebrating the color of living organisms through the technique of cardboard pleating. The colors are produced by flowers and wood barks. The textiles are created using a unique method of cardboard pleating, simultaneously a natural dyeing process on silk organza. The “straight pleats” are then curved through embroidery stitches on a silk diffuser.
