This Is the World’s Favorite Color

Similar to our recent post on Color of the Moment, the World’s Favorite Color winner announced as Marrs Green – a rich teal hue.

The results of The World’s Favorite Color, a major global survey by paper makers G. F Smith in conjunction with design agency Made Thought has revealed the winner as Marrs Green – a rich teal hue. The paper company received 30,000 submissions from over 100 countries via an online poll, where people could choose and name their color.

Annie Marrs, a fine arts graduate and cultural producer at Leisure and Culture Dundee, won the competition by popular consensus, and will have her color added to G . F Smith’s Colorplan paper range. Annie says her color choice was inspired by the River Tay, and the blue, grey and green tones that can be seen on its surface. She will be invited to see the color being made into a bespoke paper at the mill in the Lake District.
