The Subtractive Variability Vitreum series by Felipe Pantone presents color as a living, shifting phenomenon. Through the movement of light and viewer perception, infinite chromatic variations emerge.
Three translucent layers of cyan, magenta, and yellow are suspended within a solid resin prism. Their optical interaction generates continually changing hues, revealing motion within a static form.
Vitreum refers to glass a vessel of perception that preserves color and light while allowing them to remain active. Subtractive variability becomes spatial and sculptural, encased within a permanent object that holds constant transformation.
