Every year, Spain generates thousands of tonnes of olive pits an agricultural by-product that can become a valuable local raw material and help close the production cycle of the olive industry. Naifactory Lab developed REOLIVAR®, a line of circular and 100% biodegradable materials created through the upcycling of olive stones. Spain is the world’s leading olive producer, generating around 450,000 tons of olive pits annually. Most of this waste is currently burned as biomass, releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. REOLIVAR® offers an alternative by transforming olive pits into a high-quality biocomposite material suitable for a wide range of applications.
